Background to “The Wolves Within” Espionage Thriller
“The Wolves Within” is based upon a true story from author J Bartell’s life in the 1980s. The other main characters (Kearney and Michael) in this espionage triangle each had their real-life counterparts in Chauncey Holt and Michael Harries who did indeed invent the Harries Flashlight Technique often depicted in TV/Film for seeing and firing in low-light conditions.
The title “The Wolves Within” is based on the Cherokee tale of two inner wolves – one good, one evil – battling for dominance. Which wolf wins? The one you feed. This gripping psychological thriller delves deep into the struggle of choosing which wolf to feed.
