Top left: Note the slide rails reversed so the slide rides inside the frame. Also note how the safety and grip safety are raised 5/8″. This is an extensive re-engineering of the 1911 design.
Top right: Shows new mag well for H&K mags.
Lower left: Double D compensator
Lower right: H&K magazine and rounds of ammo.
Right: Note the hooked trigger guard which allows the support-hand’s index finger to help control recoil by pulling down on the hook.
Left: The FK Gun field stripped reveals the intricate welding and re-machining necessary in this conversion. Some machining marks are evident above the slide stop hole in the frame, but otherwise the work is virtually flawless. The recoil spring guidance system includes a long spring plug and bogged off guide rod. The barrel is fitted with a cone-style compensator which eliminates the need for a bushing.
